Some Wolves fans on social media have already been raving about Willian Jose after his debut showing against Chelsea.
The Brazilian signed for Wolves just days ago, but he found himself in Nuno’s matchday squad against Chelsea, and in the second half he was thrown in at the deep end.
Unfortunately, the Brazilian didn’t get the debut goal that he would have been dreaming about, but he did put in a solid shift.
What was immediately apparent was that Jose will bring a physical presence to Wolves’ frontline much more akin to what we’ve grown used to seeing from Raul Jimenez in recent years.
Indeed, Jose made his presence known up front, and that’s something Wolves fans were immediately impressed by, with many on social media commenting on his strength and his stature.
Hopefully, that’s indicative of things to come from the Real Sociedad loanee, as Wolves are usually a better side when they have a player like Jose or Jimenez up top.
While he didn’t get his goal, he did salvage a result for Wolves, with his late goal line clearance keeping the game at 0-0 at a crucial stage, and as you can imagine, supporters were quick to praise him for that contribution.
