Well, Divock Origi is now looking certain to be leaving Liverpool in the near future.

The Belgian hitman is out of contract at Anfield this summer.

It was reported in midweek that the Liverpool striker was in advanced talks to join AC Milan.

And on Thursday, Sky Sports claimed that the 28-year-old has now agreed a deal with the Italian giants.

Origi has only been a bit-part player at Liverpool under manager Jurgen Klopp in recent years, having failed to start a Premier League outing all season.

However, former Italian footballer-turned-pundit Ruben Buriani is confident that his old outfit are getting a ‘quality’ player despite his lack of minutes in England.

He told Tuttomercato: “When a player arrives from Liverpool, he always has something good. He has the quality to be at AC Milan.”

Massive

Origi will be missed by Liverpool supporters.

Remember, he has scored some truly massive goals for the Reds down the years, including a double against Barcelona in the Champions League semi-final in 2019 – and another in the final victory over Tottenham.

Not to mention countless late winners in the Premier League, including at Wolverhampton Wanderers earlier this season.

However, Klopp’s outfit will definitely survive without the former Lille hitman.

Despite important goals, regular contributions have been severely lacking and for that reason, a departure makes perfect sense.
