The 23-year-old never stopped running and was also there to block any England attacking moves.
Adams were more defensive than fellow American midfielders Weston McKennie and Yunus Musah and did his job perfectly well.
The Leeds star read the game perfectly, closed down space, worked tirelessly, and imposed himself in the middle of the park.
Adams has done well for Leeds in the Premier League so far this season, and he seems to have taken that form to Qatar and is doing well for the Americans at the World Cup.
