Liverpool made it two wins out of two in the UEFA Champions League as the Reds demolished FC Porto.

It was a performance that the title-winning side would have been proud of as Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane all got on the scoresheet in a 5-1 win over the Portuguese giants.

With academy graduate Curtis Jones bagging two assists and James Milner once again flourishing at fullback, it was a perfect night for Liverpool despite a consolation goal from Porto 74 minutes in.

Liverpool now sit comfortably top of Group B with Atletico Madrid beating AC Milan. And the scoreline from the Reds meant that Jurgen Klopp’s side had equalled an impressive record.

As per OptaJoe, Liverpool have now scored 3+ goals in six consecutive matches for only the third time in the club’s history, with the Reds last achieving this astonishing feat in May 2009.

The Reds have been in rampant form in the Premier League. Liverpool currently sit top by just a single point, with their closest competitors Manchester City the side they will next face in the division.
