Both QPR and Hull City are leading the chase for Millwall’s exciting attacker Fred Onyedinma – but will he be leaving The Den?

Footballers do appear to like leaving people hanging these days. And while Fred Onyedinma may not be leaving a tantalising trail of clues about his next destination like Eden Hazard once announcing his Lille departure in 2012, the Millwall winger has left no one in any certainty of the next step in his career.
According to London News Online, the 20-year-old has made a decision on his future. What that decision is, however, is anyone’s guess at the moment.
“I’ve made a decision. That’s all I can say. We’ll have to see the next month,” he said.
Onyedinma is out of contract at Millwall but, after they secured their return to the Championship by beating Bradford in the League One Play-Off final, you wonder whether that could encourage him to stay at The Den.
Championship interest
Although, inevitably, his progress has not gone unnoticed. According to the Football League Paper, QPR were leaving Hull City in the chase to sign Onyedinma on a free transfer this summer.

And though he played more of a bit-part role in the business end of the season, his talent and potential means he is likely to be inundated with offers if he does decide to leave Millwall after almost ten years at the London club.
QPR boss Ian Holloway stated recently that he wanted to add three or four new players to his squad with the mid-table outfit in need of further creativity and speed in the final third.
Recently relegated Hull, meanwhile, may be in need of reinforcements out wide with Lazar Markovic likely to return to Liverpool upon the expiry of his five-month loan deal. It would also be no surprise to see inspired January addition Kamil Grosicki earn a Premier League lifeline.

Therefore, this should only intensify their interest in one of the Football League’s most exciting prospects. Though they, like the rest of us, will have to wait for Onyedinma’s decision.
