QPR goalkeeper Paddy Kenny has been linked with a switch which would see him rejoin his former boss at Leeds United.
As everyone knows Neil Warnock is a big Paddy Kenny fan; but I for one hope that the rumours of Paddy leaving Loftus Road are unfounded.
Paddy missed five games last season through injury and still wasn’t over that injury at the end of the season. I think that shows what the man is like; he played through the pain.
A number of newspapers and websites are suggesting that Mark Hughes wants a new keeper; I have to ask can we really get better?
I think any keeper that is good has been linked as well as some that are well, not up to standard.

The question has to be, does Paddy want to stay? I think he does I really do. If he were to join Leeds United he would be taking a step down to the Championship and I can’t see him doing that; he’s too good for it.
With respect to Leeds, they are not a ‘big club’ like they used to be; and they sell more players than they buy.
Don’t get me wrong I think we need another keeper but a young one that can learn the game from the coaches and Paddy himself.
Four keepers that keep cropping up are Robert Green, Paul Robinson, Ben Foster and Shay Given. I’m sorry but the first two mentioned are no better than what we have.
A Foster/Kenny battle would be great for the fans to see. I don’t think Shay will come to us; I can’t quite put my finger on why, I just don’t think so.
It has to be said that Paddy made some great saves last season; and that includes the two times six went past us because without him it would’ve been a rugby score.
There is one thing I know for a fact; If Paddy stays or goes he’ll always be loved and welcomed at Loftus road. It’s not clever selling a fan favourite and I think Hughes knows that.
Paddy Kenny has a contract for another twelve months; I hope both himself and the club I love stick to it.
Who should be QPR’s number one next season?
