Jay Dasilva would provide a brilliant option down Queens Park Rangers’ left-hand side and a loan deal should be offered.

Queens Park Rangers should identify left-back Jay Dasilva on loan in a bid to boost their defensive numbers. Boss Steve McClaren is still a player or two short at the back and Dasilva would prove a strong candidate to fill the void.
The Chelsea youngster is highly regarded at Stamford Bridge and enjoyed a successful loan spell in League One with Charlton Athletic last season. Supporters of the Addicks went on to vote Dasilva as their Fans Player of the Year as he excelled at The Valley.
The 20-year-old would be primed for a starting berth at most Championship clubs and McClaren would benefit from swooping for Dasilva’s signature. The 5’7″ hopeful is renowned for his pace and strength and would give QPR an added dimension across the left.
However, first choice left-back Jake Bidwell has proved a consistent performer for the R’s so, if any deal was arranged for Dasilva, McClaren would need to appease both players.

Bidwell can often fill in at centre-back so potentially accommodating both can work but even having cover in place – for injuries and suspensions – would be beneficial to McClaren and Rangers.
Dasilva joined Chelsea in 2012 from Luton Town and has gone on to represent the Blues’ youth sides as well as earn international honours for England. Dasilva has played from U16 all the way up to the U21 side where he has four caps.
