Queens Park Rangers boss Steve McClaren is looking to add quality not quantity and Kean Bryan and Krystian Bielik certainly fit the bill.

Queens Park Rangers boss Steve McClaren has been with the club just over a month but has yet to make a move in the transfer market.
The former Derby County manager knows that funds are tight at Loftus Road and a sensible and smart approach is needed in the transfer market. The early signs do not bode well for QPR fans, though. The R’s faithful have seen a number of players leave west London and will be starting to get restless unless new signings are made soon.

McClaren’s side do have plenty of attacking and midfield options to rely on, but defence is the area that requires immediate attention. Club captain Nedum Onuoha was released after six-and-half-years of service and James Perch was shown the exit door. Jack Robinson is also set to leave so McClaren needs to add new blood in time for pre-season.
Kean Bryan is a Manchester City graduate who enjoyed an excellent loan spell with Oldham Athletic last season.
Despite the Latics’ relegation from League One, Bryan picked up the club’s Young Player of the Year award in what marked a brilliant campaign for the centre-back. Although he has never played in the Championship, it would prove a smart move for both parties if McClaren could sign the 21-year-old on loan.
Bryan might need time to adapt but the temptation of learning his trade under McClaren is one that cannot be ignored lightly.

Krystian Bielik is another player that McClaren should consider bringing to W12. The Arsenal youngster enjoyed a loan spell with Birmingham City two seasons ago so already has an insight into the rigours of Championship football. More recently, Bielik was on loan at Walsall but it was his spell with the Blues that should excite McClaren the most. Standing at 6’3″, the Poland youth international would certainly provide the physical presence needed in the heart of QPR’s defence.
An initial loan spell of six months would suit the R’s but, if McClaren could ideally get them on board for the whole campaign, it would go a long way to creating a reassurance and peace of mind ahead of the start of the season.
Both players have shown the qualities needed to make a strong impression in defence so McClaren should be looking to take advantage.
