The Dutchman’s future at the club is under question following Tuesday’s 6-0 thrashing by Newcastle.

QPR’s director of football Les Ferdinand his dismissed all speculation surrounding the future of manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, insisting the club are not looking to replace the Dutchman, as reported by the Evening Standard.

After succumbing to a 6-0 rout at the hands of Newcastle at home on Tuesday night, Hasselbaink’s position has been called into question.

West Brom boss Tony Pulis, who has been linked with the top job at the Championship side, was spotted at Loftus Road alongside Ferdinand during the clash against Newcastle.

Pulis’ own future at West Brom is under question, and he is already the bookmaker’s favourite to be the first manager to leave a Premier League club, but Ferdinand has been quick to dismiss any link between Pulis and the R’s.

“I want to draw a line under this straight away — we are not looking for another manager. This is all a consequence of what happened the other night,” he told the Evening Standard.

“Jimmy has been with us for less than a year and what we are trying to do is create some stability at the club. We have had some bad results but we have had some good ones as well. This is a case of people jumping on the bandwagon.

“It was hard for everyone against Newcastle. I’m a fan, too, and understand supporters being concerned. No one is happy about what happened. There is a lot of hurt pride and feelings at the moment. No player wants to get beat 6-0.”

Hasselbaink has been with the club since December 2015 and guided the club to a 12th place finish in the Championship last season.

While providing stability to a club that was on the slide before his appointment, the nature of Tuesday’s loss was a bitter pill to swallow for QPR.
