The Charlton Athletic manager is reportedly on Queens Park Rangers’ shortlist.

The Charlton Athletic manager, Lee Bowyer, has requested face-to-face contract talks with Lieven de Turck amid reports which continue to link him with the Queens Park Rangers vacancy.
The London Evening Standard claims Bowyer, whose Charlton deal expires this summer, is on a five-man shortlist to succeed Steve McClaren at QPR.
And speaking to The South London Press this week, the former England midfielder said: “I’ve just gone back to Lieven (who works for the Charlton owner, Roland Duchatelet), who is dealing with it, and said: ‘Can we just have a meeting?’
“He has given me a couple of dates and we’ll go through that. It’s better to do it face to face, it’s easier.”
Bowyer emerged as a contender for the QPR job after McClaren was sacked at the start of last week.

But, speaking to Love Sport Radio at the weekend, the Charlton striker, Lyle Taylor, said he and his teammates have been informed by the 42-year-old that the speculation is “rubbish” or “nonsense”.
Given Bowyer’s achievements over the past 13 months, however (one fifth-placed finish and another on the cards), QPR might not be the only club sniffing around Charlton this summer.
Will Bowyer still be at Charlton next season?
