Chris Ramsey
Former Tottenham Hotspur coach Chris Ramsey is set to be appointed head of QPR’s academy, according to West London Sport.
Ramsey spent 10 years as part of Spurs’ backroom staff and worked at the club alongside Les Ferdinand, who is now head of football operations with the R’s.
The 52-year-old was previously assistant manager of the England Under-17s and would vacate that role should he move to the west London club.
Bobby Zamora
Meanwhile, QPR boss Harry Redknapp has been singing the praises of ‘fantastic’ striker Bobby Zamora, who he feels has developed a terrific bond with supporters.
“Bobby was out of contract but that Wembley goal did his confidence a power of good,” Redknapp is quoted as saying by GetWestLondon.
“He feels the fans love him now, and that’s also good for his confidence. I made him captain and he gave me a captain’s performance – and he enjoyed the challenge in that.
“He’s always been a good player. When he was at Fulham he was a fantastic player in my opinion.”
