Queens Park Rangers and Middlesbrough are among the clubs interested in signing Lyndon Dykes from Livingston in the summer transfer window, according to The Scottish Sun.

It has been reported that QPR director of football Les Ferdinand watched Dykes in action for Livingston against Hibernian last Saturday and against Motherwell on Wednesday in the Scottish Premiership.

The report has claimed that Middlesbrough, Stoke City and Barnsley are also monitoring developments closely.

Stats

According to WhoScored, Dykes has scored two goals in three Scottish Premiership games for Livingston so far this season.

The 24-year-old scored nine goals and provided eight assists in 25 Scottish Premiership matches during the 2019-20 campaign, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk.

Good signing for QPR or Middlesbrough?

Dykes is a very good striker who, at the age of 24, can only get better in the coming years.

Defender Peter Hartley, who left Motherwell this summer, raved about Dykes to The Scottish Sun in June, stating that he “really has got everything”.

However, with The Daily Mail reporting in June that Livingston want £2 million as transfer fee for the 24-year-old, Championship clubs QPR and Middlesbrough may find that a bit too much.
