QPR secured a point at the Pirelli Stadium last night, after drawing 1-1 with Burton Albion.
Queens Park Rangers manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink
QPR came from behind to earn a draw at Burton as Sebastian Polter scored the only goal for the London side, which was enough to secure a point.
Polter came off the bench and made an immediate impact on the game, scoring just six minutes after replacing Ariel Borysiuk. The striker scored QPR’s first goal from open play this term – before Polter’s goal all of the 11 Championship goals this season from QPR had come from set-pieces.
After a disappointing first half, with both sides lacking any real quality, a deflected shot from Lloyd Dyer led to Jamie Ward’s first goal for Burton Albion in the 58th minute.
Burton Albion manager Nigel Clough
Polter equalised in the 70th minute, but it was an all round poor performance from QPR who failed to beat a struggling Burton side.
Conor Washington is still yet to get on the score sheet for QPR, the striker has made 22 league appearances for the London team but has yet to find the back of the net.
QPR and Burton are now without a league win in five games. QPR will travel to Fulham on Saturday. Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink will be under pressure from frustrated fans to pick up three points.
