The 26-year-old midfielder, who had been linked with Middlesbrough, has put pen to paper on a new deal which ties him to the Loftus Road club until 2021.

This week has certainly begun on a positive note for Queens Park Rangers fans given the latest news coming from Loftus Road.
Luke Freeman, one of QPR’s most influential players in recent seasons, has signed a new contract with the west London club.
The 26-year-old linked up with the R’s in January 2017 from Bristol City and, according to Transfermarkt, has claimed 11 goals and 18 assists from 82 appearances.
A number of clubs have reportedly been monitoring Freeman in recent months – London Football News previously suggested that Middlesbrough were interested in the midfielder.
Freeman’s previous deal had 18 months to run but the latest contract sees the former Arsenal academy player tied to QPR until 2021.

“I’m really pleased,” the playmaker told the club’s website. “I’m happy here – I get on really well with all the boys, all the staff. This feels like home for me.
“I love the club, the fans, and I want to help us progress even more now.”
Many QPR fans took to Twitter after the news broke to celebrate Freeman’s decision to pen a new deal:
QPR currently sit ninth in the Championship table, just four points off the playoffs, a superb turnaround from the 7-1 loss to West Brom at the start of the campaign.
Up next for Steve McClaren’s side is a trip to 19th-placed Rotherham United on Tuesday night.
