The EFL fixture list was released on Thursday with Queens Park Rangers facing a trip to Deepdale on the opening weekend.
Queens Park Rangers will kick off their 2018/19 Championship campaign at Preston North End, with new boss Steve McClaren looking to get off to a positive start.
The 57-year-old has taken over from Ian Holloway and will face a tough-looking encounter at Deepdale against Alex Neil’s side. The Lillywhites finished seventh last season after a really strong campaign, and McClaren will know they will want to start the new campaign with a bang.

QPR follow up with a home game against Sheffield United before travelling to The Hawthorns to face recently-relegated West Bromwich Albion in what certainly looks like a tough start to the new term.
