Queens Park Rangers goalkeeper Seny Dieng is something of a late bloomer having only become a Championship regular at 26, but he’s now attracting major interest.
The Swiss-born stopper, who can also play for Senegal, has taken a lengthy path to stardom in England, having previously been on the books of Red Star Zurich, Grasshoppers and MSV Duisburg.
Even after joining QPR in 2016, Dieng went out on loan to Whitehawk, Hampton and Richmond, Stevenage, Dundee and Doncaster Rovers before becoming QPR’s first-choice stopper this season.
Dieng has impressed so much that The Mirror (03/01, p73) report that he could end up making a big Premier League move – despite only signing a new contract in September.
Arsenal, Leeds United and Crystal Palace all want to sign Dieng, viewing him as ideal competition for Bernd Leno, Illan Meslier and Vicent Guaita respectively.
QPR lost Eberechi Eze last summer, and fans are seemingly dreading the idea of Dieng following him in leaving Loftus Road for the Premier League.

QPR fans have been taking to Twitter to suggest that there is nothing positive about the club right now, especially if Dieng moves on.
Others suggested that he is already better than Leno and is destined for the top, though feel that he would be better off continuing to develop with the R’s rather than risk being second choice elsewhere.
