The former QPR man was on song for Chile recently.
Chile booked their spot in the semi-final of the Copa America Centenario on Sunday morning with a 7-0 demolition of Mexico in California.
The star of the show was none other than striker Eduardo Vargas, who netted four times to help La Roja reach the last four of the competition.
Watching Vargas enjoy such a goal-laden performance might irk QPR supporters, given that the 26-year-old spent a season-long loan at Loftus Road in 2014-15.
But the Chilean’s stint with the West London club was not particularly successful, with Vargas scoring three times in 22 appearances under Harry Redknapp in a season which ended in relegation back to the Championship.
It must be noted that Redknapp often played the centre-forward on the wing, which may or may not have contributed to such a paltry goal return with QPR.
But supporters certainly feel as if he could have been more use to himself and QPR had the veteran manager played him in his natural position.
