Former Queens Park Rangers striker Charlie Austin scored twice for Southampton against Burnley in the Premier League at the weekend.

Queens Park Rangers fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to Charlie Austin’s heroics for Southampton at the weekend.

Austin starred for Southampton in the Premier League match against Burnley at home on Sunday.

The former QPR forward started the game and played for 71 minutes, as the Saints registered a 3-1 victory at St. Mary’s Stadium.

The 27-year-old played a key role in the win for the home team, as he scored twice.

Austin scored first in the 52nd minute and then successfully converted a penalty midway through the second half.

The former Burnley forward has been in good form in recent weeks and appears to have established himself as a key player for Southampton.

The Englishman has scored four goals and created two chances in seven league matches for the Saints so far this season.

Austin joined Premier League outfit Southampton from Championship club QPR in January 2016.
