Queens Park Rangers have been linked with former Aston Villa boss Tim Sherwood with current manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink currently under pressure.

Former Spurs and Aston Villa boss Tim Sherwood could be in-line to take the Queens Park Rangers post if Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink fails to deliver a win this weekend, according to the Sun.

The link is nothing unusual with Sherwood having been linked with the post several times in the past but reports that he will take the job if QPR don’t get a result at Nottingham Forest, have grown stronger.

Sherwood was largely unsuccessful in his last job and managed just eight months in charge of Aston Villa who were later relegated.

The 47-year-old was sacked after losing six consecutive games and failing to win in ten outings, a run of form which left Villa 19th in the Premier League.

Hasselbaink took the QPR job back in December and managed to start a real improvement towards the back-end of last season.

However, this term has been very hot and cold for the R’s who currently sit 14th after losing both of their last two, including defeat to rivals Brentford at home.

QPR fans have reacted in style to the news and the majority certainly aren’t best pleased with the news of Sherwood entering talks with their club.

Despite the sea of negative comments regarding the link to Sherwood, there are a select group of fans who would seemingly welcome the former Blackburn Rovers midfielder to the club.
