The 26-year-old, who signed a new contract on Monday, has made headlines again thanks to his late equaliser in QPR’s late 2-2 draw at Rotherham United.

It just had to be him, didn’t it?
On Monday, Luke Freeman gave Queens Park Rangers fans a superb start to the week by signing a new contract with the Championship club.
The 26-year-old’s previous deal had 18 months to run but his latest contract has tied him to the Loftus Road outfit until the end of the 2020/21 season.
With the January transfer window edging ever closer and reports of interest in Freeman gathering pace – London Football News had linked the midfielder to Middlesbrough – the news came at a great time for QPR fans.
But going back to matters on the pitch, Tuesday night saw the west Londoners take on Rotherham United at a rainy New York Stadium in what turned out to be a very tricky game for the visitors.
The opening 15 minutes brought about three goals as the R’s fell behind to Will Vaulks’ sixth-minute strike, drew level on 12 minutes through Nahki Wells, and fell behind again three minutes later as Clark Robertson headed home.
Rotherham maintained the lead going into second-half injury time as Steve McClaren’s side laboured against their opponents, but then the man of the moment appeared with a diving header to salvage a late point for the visitors.

The result extends QPR’s unbeaten run to three games and keeps them within three points of the playoffs following 19 games played.
Following the match, many R’s fans could not resist going on Twitter and piling praise on Freeman:
