Jordan Hugill made just three brief appearances for The Hammers but he’s scoring goals for fun in the Championship with Queens Park Rangers.

Jordan Hugill might have flopped at West Ham United but QPR assistant coach John Eustace is still confident that he can become a ‘top Premier League player’ in the future, speaking to Jim White on talkSPORT (25 September, 12pm).
In truth, Hugill was never really given a chance at the London Stadium.
After joining from Preston North End in a £10 million deal on the final day of the January 2018 transfer window, a burly target man who shone in the second tier was handed just 22 minutes of action in the top-flight, spread across three substitute appearances.
But Hugill has reminded everyone of his talents since joining QPR on loan, netting five times in seven starts for Mark Warburton’s high-flying outfit.
And Eustace believes that the Middlesbrough-born centre-forward can still have a bright future in claret and blue.
“He’s a top, top striker, a top Premier League player,” said the former Watford and Stoke midfielder.
“I’m sure he’ll go back into the Premier League.”

Hugill was written off by many West Ham fans almost as soon as he arrived but surely it’s unfair to judge a player on the back of three cameo appearances which lasted for just seven minutes on average.
When fit and confident, the 27-year-old is a penalty-box poacher who comes alive when the ball drops loose – and that’s a useful skill at any level.
