Queens Park Rangers beat Leeds United 1-0 in the Championship on Tuesday.

Queens Park Rangers chairman Amit Bhatia has turned to Twitter to provide his reaction, after the west Londoners ended their seven-game losing run.
Luke Freeman’s goal just after half-time proved decisive, as QPR ran out 1-0 winners over Leeds United at Loftus Road.
It was a much needed boost for the R’s after a torrid start to 2019 saw them slide down to 18th, and Bhatia’s message highlights his joy at finally seeing a shift in the points total.
For much of the first 45 minutes, it looked like Leeds would pile more misery on the home side, but they failed to capitalise on the pressure. That would come back to haunt Marcelo Biesla’s men in the second period, as Rangers stepped up a gear and crafted out the win they had been craving.

It is vital that QPR build on the impressive victory, and there is no better place to do that than at Brentford this weekend. Manager Steve McClaren must continue to push his side and in particular his key players, who all demonstrated their worth against the Whites.
A first win at Griffin Park in 16 years will certainly put McClaren’s side in a much better position looking ahead, and keep the hierarchy including Bhatia happy after the record-equalling losing run derailed QPR’s season.
