Queen Park Rangers are trying to snap a losing streak when they take on Leeds United this week.

Key to their chances could be the return of star man Luke Freeman.

QPR boss Steve McClaren has told the club’s official website that he is optimistic Freeman could play at Loftus Road against Leeds in midweek.

Freeman missed QPR’s defeat to Middlesbrough at the weekend. It was their seventh consecutive Championship loss in a row.

McClaren said: “We’re hoping Luke will be available.

“We missed him today, his creativity. It’s not as bad as we first thought and there’s a chance for Tuesday, or next Saturday.”

After facing Leeds on Tuesday night, QPR travel to Brentford for a west London derby next weekend.

Freeman has scored seven goals this season and provided four assists.

He is the club’s second highest scorer this season behind striker Nakhi Wells, who has eight goals.
