Queens Park Rangers have agreed a fee for Huddersfield Town defender Joel Lynch, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
QPR have made Lynch one of their top targets this summer as Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink looks to bolster his side’s defensive options.
Hasselbaink is short of central defensive options with Clint Hill being released and Gabriele Angella returning to Watford after his loan spell at Loftus Road.

Hasselbaink knows all about Lynch having worked with the Wales international during his time as a coach of Nottingham Forest.
Lynch made 40 appearances for Huddersfield last season and is regarded as one of the best centre-backs in the Championship.
Huddersfield are reluctant to lose Lynch and rejected QPR’s opening bid for the 28-year-old, but QPR have come back with an improved offer in the region of £1.5million for the defender.

Lynch is entering the final year of his contract at the John Smith’s Stadium and Huddersfield have decided to cash-in on him rather than risk letting him run down his contract.
Huddersfield have given Lynch the green light to hold talks with QPR and the player is expected to undergo a medical next week at Loftus Road.
