The QPR midfielder had some very kind words to say about the Whites ahead of Sunday’s third-round clash.

Queens Park Rangers midfielder Josh Scowen has had some kind words to say about Leeds United ahead of Sunday’s FA Cup clash at Loftus Road.
Although the Whites are still top of the Championship, they have lost their last two league games going into the third-round encounter in west London.
Meanwhile, QPR’s 2-1 loss at Elland Road in December was the catalyst for a run of five matches unbeaten that included wins over Middlesbrough and Nottingham Forest.
Despite the wobble in Leeds’ form on top of their injury worries – Barry Douglas has now been ruled out “for a while” – Scowen is confident that the Whites will still be in the upper echelons of the table come May.
“They are one of the best teams we have played and I think they will be right up there at the end of the season, despite their recent results,” Scowen is quoted by the Evening Standard as saying.

That said, the 25-year-old feels that QPR’s performance against Leeds on December 8 was “not a million miles off” the Whites’ level and admits it gave them a lot of confidence going forward.
“We gave them a tough match last time and could have nicked a draw. We took a lot of confidence from it, the fact we were able to go toe-to-toe with them,” he added.
Leeds fans will surely be pleased to hear so much respect coming from one of the opposition’s players ahead of a game, showing just how much impact their team has had this season.
