Liverpool are still working on a deal to get Thiago Alcantara with Jurgen Klopp pushing again to sign him, Fabrizio Romano has reported.
Liverpool have been looking to tie up a deal for Thiago all summer, but they are yet to meet Bayern’s asking price for the highly talented Spaniard.
ESPN have suggested that Liverpool won’t move for Thiago while Georginio Wijnaldum remains at the club.
Der Spiegel in Germany, though, have been far more certain that the 29-year-old will end up at Anfield.
They claimed last week that Liverpool were definitely going to sign Thiago this summer, which seriously excited Reds supporters.
Romano has now helped to clear up the situation, and he has indicated that Klopp is really pushing to get the transfer over the line now, with Bayern expecting an offer to arrive soon.
If Liverpool were to sign Thiago he could be a stunning addition to their current squad, and there is a feeling his arrival would make the Reds very difficult for any Premier League side to catch next year.
