One player linked to Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal stole the show in Germany this afternoon.
The Bundesliga is back in action following a two-month hiatus and Borussia Dortmund’s game over Schalke was the pick of the games.
Dortmund beat their local rivals 4-0 and a certain Achraf Hakimi was arguably the stand-out player.
The Real Madrid loanee, who’s been linked to Arsenal and Tottenham [Bladi], posted a stunning, energetic performance.
The 21-year-old, who is the fastest player in Bundesliga history, demonstrated his remarkable speed regularly and tormented the Schalke left-back for 90 minutes.
Hakimi, who admitted that he was flattered by Spurs and the Gunners’ reported interest [Cadena Ser], is serious hot property.
And here’s how fans on Twitter reacted to his display today:
According to The Mirror, Hakimi has a £50 million release clause in the Spanish capital, but performances like these are reminders that he might well have a future in Madrid.
He’s been on loan with Dortmund since 2018 but it seems unlikely that either North London club will be spending that amount on him for the foreseeable future.
