Robbie Savage prefers Manchester United striker Anthony Martial to Liverpool youngster Divock Origi.

Former Leicester City and Derby County midfielder Robbie Savage has stated on social networking site Twitter that he prefers Anthony Martial to Divock Origi.

Martial is 20 years of age and is on the books of Manchester United at the moment, while 21-year-old Origi is currently at Liverpool.

Savage has stated on Twitter that he prefers the United forward to the Liverpool striker.

The former Wales international midfielder, who now works as a pundit for BBC Sport and BT Sport, has also praised Liverpool winger Sadio Mane.

Mane joined the Merseyside outfit from Premier League rivals Southampton in the summer transfer window.

According to BBC Sport, Liverpool had to pay the Saints a transfer fee of £34 million in order to secure the services of the Senegal international winger.

Mane has scored two goals and created four chances in three Premier League appearances for Liverpool so far this season.

In three league games for the Reds so far this campaign, Origi has created one chance and has not scored a single goal.

Martial has yet to score in the Premier League this season, creating five chances in four league matches.

United are aiming to win the league title this season, while Liverpool’s main objective is to finish in the top four.
