West Ham United take on Manchester City on Wednesday night in the Premier League, and HITC pundits give their predictions on the likely outcome.
West Ham 2-1 Manchester City
The 5-0 FA Cup loss at the Olympic Stadium was a humiliation for the Hammers, and proved to be Dimitri Payet’s last game at the club. A lot has changed since, with West Ham going on a winning run, and City suffering a 4-0 away loss to Everton. Expect that change in fortunes to play out here, with the home side pulling off a memorable win.

West Ham 2-1 Manchester City
Dimitri who? Ironically, West Ham’s most impressive run of form this season has coincided exactly at the time their talisman launched the toys out the pram. And an in-form Andy Carroll will be licking his lips at the prospect of battering City’s indecisive backline.

West Ham 0-3 Manchester City
West Ham were thrashed at the London Stadium by Manchester City earlier in the season, and although it is a much-improved Hammers side taking on Pep Guardiola’s men on this occasion, I still expect the Citizens to come out on top. Man City looked impressive against Tottenham, and a similar performance will make life incredibly difficult for West Ham.
West Ham 2-1 Manchester City
West Ham are very much on the up since Dimitri Payet’s omission and subsequent exit, and with City struggling in the league the Hammers could inflict another damaging defeat on Pep Guardiola’s side.
West Ham 1-2 Manchester City
The Hammers are definitely on an upward turn of form, but they’ll miss out on securing any points against City, who were excellent against Spurs. West Ham are better off with Payet gone, but there is no doubt that they are also further away from the top six when it comes to quality following his departure.
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola
West Ham 1-2 Manchester City
City hammered the Hammers on their last trip to east London in the FA Cup last month, but are likely to encounter tougher opponents this time around. I still fancy them to sneak it, mind.
