Tottenham Hotspur take on Stoke City on Sunday in the Premier League, and HITC pundits give their predictions on the likely outcome.

Dan Coombs

Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 Stoke City

Spurs lost their last Premier League match to Liverpool but I foresee no difficulties here for them. Dele Alli and Harry Kane have torn Stoke to shreds previously, and the duo should play a key role in a straightforward win.

Pochettino have a challenge on his hands balancing Spurs’ squad in the coming days. After playing his big hitters against Fulham, he is likely to do the same against Gent. Therefore, a solid Stoke side could find their chances of keeping Spurs at bay are increased on Sunday.

Tottenham Hotspur 1-0 Stoke City

Following a midweek game, this will be a big test for Mauricio Pochettino. They could be as high as second or as low as sixth once the weekend is over, so maximum points against the Potters is crucial. I think they’ll do it – just – with a one-goal win against Mark Hughes’ ninth-placed side.

Vincent Ralph

Tottenham Hotspur 1-0 Stoke City

This match may be harder than Tottenham fans would hope but they should overcome a resilient Stoke team by a single goal. There are likely to be a few changes from the Europa League game but Spurs have the squad to cope.

Che Thomas

Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 Stoke City

Stoke got hammered by Spurs earlier in the season, and it will be interesting to see how the Potters – much improved compared to that early form – will approach this game. However, Spurs are one of the best in the league at home and they have players who will hurt Stoke again, should be a relatively comfortable victory for Pochettino’s men.

Teams often struggle with the Thursday-Sunday routine, so this will be no walk in the park for Spurs. Pochettino’s team should, however, have enough to overcome the Potters and maintain their push for a top-four finish.
