Tottenham Hotspur take on Millwall on Sunday in the FA Cup Sixth Round, and HITC pundits give their predictions on the likely outcome.
Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 Millwall
Millwall will dream of the semi-finals but their run will come to an end against a Tottenham side which will simply be too good for them. Even Vincent Janssen might get a goal.
Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino
Tottenham Hotspur 4-0 Millwall
Richard Osman lamented Spurs failing to disrespect the FA Cup when they swept aside his beloved Fulham. And, although Millwall have claimed three Premier League scalps already, expect that run to stop against a full-strength Tottenham.
Millwall manager Neil Harris
Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 Millwall
It has been a marvellous cup run for Millwall this season, somewhat overlooked due to the success of Lincoln City and Sutton United. Ultimately, a trip to the Lane should prove a step too far. Spurs are a very professional outfit under Mauricio Pochettino, and depending on how much the Argentine rotates, his Tottenham team should be simply too good for their League One opposition.
Tottenham Hotspur 5-0 Millwall
Tottenham are likely to pick a very strong side given their struggles against Wycombe Wanderers and the fact they do not have a league game until the following weekend. For that reason, even with a couple of changes I can see Spurs filling their boots against their League One opponents.
Tottenham Hotspur 3-0 Millwall
Tottenham’s FA Cup dream should gather more momentum this weekend, with the North Londoners in good form domestically. Expect a similar side to what Mauricio Pochettino put out against Fulham, with Harry Kane facing his former loan club. Millwall will dig deep, but there could be goals in this for Spurs in White Hart Lane’s last ever FA Cup tie.
Millwall’s Steve Morison celebrates
Tottenham Hotspur 4-0 Millwall
Spurs have been devastating at home of late, winning 11 domestic games in a row at White Hart Lane, and should dispose of Millwall fairly comfortably. I fancy at least four goals to be scored by the hosts.
