Sheffield Wednesday take on Norwich City on Saturday in the Championship, and HITC pundits give their predictions on the likely outcome.

Dan Coombs

Sheffield Wednesday 3-2 Norwich City

The Owls have lost their last two in a row and while I expect them to bounce back and win this one, they will make hard work of it. Norwich are among their biggest threats for a play-off spot and this game is absolutely pivotal.

Wednesday were well below par against Yorkshire rivals Leeds on Saturday and a somewhat resurgent Norwich could make them pay if they repeat the defensive errors that cost them any chance of points at Elland Road.

Sheffield Wednesday 1-2 Norwich City

This has to go down as a must-win game for Norwich City if they are to have any chance of making the play-off’s this season. Both teams are in poor form heading into the game, and the Canaries have struggled on their travels all season, but they have the ability within their squad to turn on the style, and I think they might just do it at Hillsborough.

Vincent Ralph

Sheffield Wednesday 1-1 Norwich City

This is a very intriguing game with Norwich knowing they can move tantalisingly close to the play-off places with a victory. I don’t think they will get it, but they will give it one hell of a go.

Che Thomas

Sheffield Wednesday 2-1 Norwich City

The Owls will be desperate for a win after a pair of frustrating defeats, and they will be hoping that Jordan Rhodes and the rest of Wednesday’s attack can take advantage of the worst defence in the top 11.

Wednesday are usually reliable at home, while Norwich haven’t travelled well at all of late. With so much at stake (the sixth-placed Owls can open up a nine-point gap on the visitors) this could be a nervy one, in which the first goal is especially key – although Wednesday are typically slow starters.
