Manchester United take on Hull City on Wednesday night in the Premier League, and HITC pundits give their predictions on the likely outcome.

Jose Mourinho’s side should have few problems against the side who beat them last week. The Red Devils need a win after two straight Premier League draws, otherwise their previous winning streak will be undone. Matches the night before played by their rivals will only intensify the need for both teams to get a result.

Hull are made of sterner stuff these days under Marco Silva, their EFL Cup semi-final victory against United a case in point. However, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic ready to return to action, United should have enough firepower to eke out a narrow win.

Hull City beat Manchester United last week, for the first time since 1974, but doing so twice in 6 days could prove too big a task. After a resurgence under Marco Silva, the Tigers were thrashed by Fulham at the weekend, and the Portuguese boss has some big decisions to make. Jose Mourinho’s squad looks in good shape, and should record a narrow win against a dogged Hull team.

These two sides met just a few days ago in the EFL Cup semi final second leg and the Tigers put in a stellar show to win 2-1 on the night. Despite losing on aggregate they showed enough to suggest they will fight to the very end this season but at Old Trafford United should have enough to win by two clear goals.

Hull have shown the fight they were lacking most of this season since Marco Silva took charge, including ending United’s run of games without a defeat in the League Cup recently. But I expect the home team, with Zlatan leading the line, to blow the Tigers away.
