Liverpool face Chelsea on Tuesday night in the Premier League, and HITC pundits give their predictions on the likely outcome.

Well it has been a tough month for the Reds, but this has all culminated to make their match with Chelsea this evening a must win game. It would be typical of a Jurgen Klopp side to rise to the occasion and win after their dispiriting loss to Wolves, despite the form and confidence of the Blues.

After a year without a single home defeat, a loss against Chelsea in midweek would mean four different teams have left Anfield with a victory in a week and a half. Sadio Mane’s return will boost a side that has toiled in his absence but Chelsea’s game management will prove crucial.

With a 10 point gap having opened up between themselves and the leaders, Liverpool are effectively out of the title race already. Antonio Conte will be happy to make sure it stays that way, and a draw would prevent Jurgen Klopp’s team of getting any glimmer of hope, and as such, has to be the most likely result with this resilient Blues side.

That said, Chelsea are flying right now and a draw looks likely in what could be a very tight affair.
