Everton take on Hull City on Saturday in the Premier League, and HITC pundits give their predictions on the likely outcome.
Everton 2-1 Hull City
Oumar Niasse will be watching on with interest, and the focal point will be Romelu Lukaku after his recent comments about wanting to reach the next level. Expect him to lead by example and fire the Toffees to a win.
Everton’s Romelu Lukaku
Everton 3-1 Hull City
Marco Silva may have earned an enormous amount of credit for keeping Hull’s survival hopes alive but The Tigers away record is simply dreadful. Although Everton will be hoping Romelu Lukaku is focused after a strenuous week. If so, he could blow Hull away.
Hull City manager Marco Silva
Everton 2-1 Hull City
Hull City are much-improved under Marco Silva, but one thing that hasn’t improved is their away form. The Tigers haven’t won on their travels since August, which was incidentally their first away game of the season. Everton, meanwhile, have lost just once at Goodison Park all season, and are now in a rich vein of form, with just one defeat in their last 10 outings. Hull will be without their hero last weekend, Oumar Niasse, and I can see Everton emerging victorious.
Everton 3-0 Hull City
Everton have the firepower to dispose of Hull with ease and if this goes according to form the Toffees should deliver another big blow to the Tigers’ survival hopes.
Everton 3-1 Hull City
The Toffees will have been rocked by the news about Romelu Lukaku this week, and are coming up against a Hull side who are so much more competitive than they were earlier in the season. However, Everton should be able to get the win with their recent home form excellent – if Lukaku continues to perform.
Everton manager Ronald Koeman
Everton 3-0 Hull City
Lukaku’s contract revelation is an obvious distraction, but the striker has been in similar situations before and is usually unfazed. For that reason, I suspect it will be business as usual for Koeman’s men, with the Tigers blown away.
