Celtic take on Rangers on Sunday in the Scottish Premiership, and HITC pundits give their predictions on the likely outcome.

Dan Coombs

Celtic 3-0 Rangers

The gulf in class between the two teams is evident from the league table, and an early goal for Celtic would see the Rangers’ players’ heads drop. I can’t see past a comfortable Celtic win.

Celtic 3-1 Rangers

Rangers will do everything in their power to stop Celtic going the entire season unbeaten. However, they could be set for more Old Firm humiliation at Parkhead with Brendan Rodgers’ side in ruthless form.

Celtic 4-1 Rangers

Rangers go into the Old Firm derby in a precarious position. Managerless, six points behind Aberdeen and with only one win in their last five games, it’s not ideal circumstances to be heading to Parkhead under. Mad things can happen in derbies of this magnitude, but really Celtic shouldn’t have any trouble here. The Gers defence is vulnerable, and Brendan Rodgers side should bag a hatful once more.

Celtic 4-1 Rangers

Celtic have already humiliated Rangers once this season and I cannot see anything other than a repeat this time round. The Bhoys have goal-scoring threat in abundance and their fierce rivals are in for a tough afternoon.

Celtic 3-0 Rangers

Sadly for Rangers fans, I just can’t see anything but a comprehensive Celtic victory. With the Bhoys winning all but one of their league matches, the danger for the blue side of Glasgow is that Moussa Dembele and co will be in devastating mood once more – and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see another three goal winning margin – at least.

There’s an obvious gulf in quality between the two teams, with Celtic’s summer recruitment drive really kicking them on this season, and that should show at Parkhead. Defeat for Rangers will at least wipe the slate clean for Pedro Caixinha, who is expected to take the reins at Ibrox next week.
