Barnsley face Wolves on Tuesday night in the Championship, and HITC pundits give their predictions on the likely outcome.
Barnsley 1-1 Wolves
Wolves are coming off a big win over Liverpool and their confidence will be flying, but don’t write Barnsley off. They were terrific in their recent win over Leeds at Oakwell, and despite selling matchwinner Conor Hourihane since then, should have enough to hold Wolves to a draw.

Barnsley 1-1 Wolves
Paul Lambert’s side toasted one of the most famous victories in the club’s history at Anfield on Saturday but an exhausting 90 plus minutes could take its toll at Oakwell. However, how Barnsley respond to losing their inspirational captain remains to be seen.
Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Paul Lambert
Barnsley 2-2 Wolves
A win away at Anfield should inspire some real confidence in this Wolves team, who already look destined for a season of midtable mediocrity. Barnsley fans may worry they are heading the same way following the sales of some of their key men this January, but they remain 7th and in impressive form. The Tykes have mixed home form whilst Wolves are similarly inconsistent away, a score-draw is my prediction.
Barnsley 2-1 Wolves
Barnsley are losing their star players at an alarming rate while Wolves will be boosted by their FA Cup win against Liverpool, but with home advantage the Tykes should edge this one.
Barnsley 2-1 Wolves
Only time will tell how Barnsley recover from their January departures, but they will fancy themselves against a Wolves side who are often unpredictable, and could well be exhausted after a famous Anfield victory.

Barnsley 1-2 Wolves
Barnsley have maintained their form despite the loss of several key players this month, though that, I suspect, will eventually take its toll on Paul Heckingbottom’s men. Wolves are in better form than their 18th placing suggests, though, and I fancy them at Oakwell.
