The 25-year-old striker was on target against Huddersfield on Sunday afternoon, tucking the ball in from close range in the 35th minute. It was the former West Bromwich Albion and Leicester City man’s 18th goal of the Championship this season.
Wood has scored just two fewer goals than Newcastle United striker Dwight Gayle in the Championship this season. Gayle is the top scorer in the league at the moment, but there is a very good chance that the Leeds star could overtake him in the coming weeks and months.
