Speaking on The FPL Show, Glenn Murray has been speaking about Allan Saint-Maximin and his role at Newcastle under Eddie Howe.

Murray is uniquely qualified to talk about Howe. After all, he did play under him at Bournemouth back in the day.

The former striker believes that Saint-Maximin will continue to be a star at the Magpies under the new manager.

What’s been said?

Murray was speaking about some of the Newcastle players.

“The player who has lit things up as of late at St James’ Park is Allan Saint-Maximin, how do you think he’ll fit into all of this?” James Richardson asked.

“I think he’ll continue to light it up, Eddie needs to use his best players and he clearly is one of the best players up on Tyneside,” Murray said.

Should thrive

Saint-Maximin should really thrive under Howe.

At Bournemouth, Howe’s wingers were always threats going forward. Ryan Fraser was an assist machine, while Junior Stanislas was also a real threat down the right side.

Saint-Maximin’s pace, skill and ability should see him continue to be a key player at St James’ Park, and if Howe plays his cards right, the Frenchman could be one of the stars of the remainder of the season.

Let’s see if the new Magpies gaffer can get the best out of this mercurial talent.
