Manchester United are yet to communicate with their fans on the future of Erik ten Hag.
For months and months, there has been talk about whether or not the Dutchman would stay at the club beyond the summer.
Manchester United’s shock FA Cup final win over Manchester City threw a spanner in the works because that’s back-to-back trophies he has now delivered, even though the Premier League form has been abject.
But still, no one is the wiser as to whether the under-fire Erik ten Hag will remain at Old Trafford.
One thing it has done is result in name after name after name being tipped and touted for the Manchester United job.
From Roberto De Zerbi to Thomas Tuchel, then Mauricio Pochettino left Chelsea and that sparked a few more rumours.
Either way, Andy Goldstein has described the whole situation ‘as unprofessional as it gets’ and doesn’t like the way ten Hag is being treated.
The Manchester United fan urged the powers that be to either ‘stick by your guns’ or make a call on who to bring in, as he told talkSPORT.
But when the name of England manager Gareth Southgate was floated about, Goldstein threatened to put his support for the club ‘on hold’ because it would prove to be ‘one of the worst decisions’ the club has ever made.

“This is as unprofessional as it gets, it’s shameful how they are treating their manager,” said Goldstein. “It wasn’t long ago that he won the FA Cup. I know the league season was poor.
“But make a decision. Stick by your guns. Either back your manager or don’t back him. But everyone needs to know. It’s absolutely terrible what they are doing.
“It’s nuts some of these names (being linked with the Manchester United job). There is no way they will wait another month (until after the Euros to appoint Southgate). The (transfer) window opens on Friday. Something has got to be (done). I will tell you know, if Southgate becomes the next Manchester United manager, I would put my support on hold. I can’t tell you how bad a decision that would be. I would still support them, but it would be one of the worst appointments that the club has made. He’s not a great manager, Southgate. I want a great manager.”

England have flown out to Germany ahead of Euro 2024 and there is huge pressure on the shoulders of Southgate.
The Three Lions reached the semi-finals of the 2018 World Cup when the team captured the imagination of the whole nation.

They were then beaten in the final of Euro 2020 in heartbreaking fashion, before being booted out of the 2022 Qatar World Cup by France.
Many think Southgate, who can afford to keep the likes of Marcus Rashford and James Maddison at home, should be doing better and delivering a trophy.
Given that type of noise around the 53-year-old, you just wonder why or how he is being linked with the Manchester United job.
