Odsonne Edouard is one of the best strikers in the Scottish Premiership, and there is no surprise that Leeds United and Everton have been linked with the Celtic star.
Interest from Leeds United and Everton
The Scottish Sun reported on August 27 that Leeds and Everton were among the clubs who scouted the French striker in the Scottish Premiership game between Dundee United and Celtic at Tannadice Park on August 22.
Aston Villa, Newcastle United, Leicester City and Crystal Palace are also interested in the 22-year-old striker, who is rated at £30 million, according to the report.
Good signing for Leeds United or Everton?
Leeds have Patrick Bamford as their main striker and have signed Rodrigo in the summer transfer window, but Marcelo Bielsa’s side could do with another player upfront.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin is in fine form for Everton at the moment, but manager Carlo Ancelotti could do with another quality striker to enhance his side’s chances of finishing in the top four of the Premier League table this season.
Edouard is a key figure at Celtic, and it is hard to see manager Neil Lennon sell him now, especially as it is going to be extremely tough for him to find a suitable replacement before the summer transfer window closes.

Tam McManus’s question
Former Hibernian forward Tam McManus, who now works as a pundit for PLZ Soccer, has spotted a sign that the striker could be sold or he wants to leave.
Lennon told HeraldScotland last week that the French youngster said to him that he has been feeling tired which is why he did not start against Livingston, but he added that the striker is “not for sale”.
However, McManus thinks that something is not quite right regarding the situation, which will encourage Leeds and Everton in their reported quest to sign him.
McManus wrote on Twitter: “I love Edouard and I think he is a fantastic footballer. But to say he doesn’t feel ready to play & is tired in the biggest season of Celtic’s history is b******s. Should be bursting to play in every game & become a legend. Just my opinion. Seems something isn’t quite right?”
