Former Celtic striker Kenny Miller believes £10 million would be a good fee for Liel Abada amid interest from Ajax and Premier League clubs in the jet-heeled Israel international.
The Scottish Premiership champions-in-waiting need only look across the city to see what can happen if you do not strike while the iron is hot. As former Celtic winger Kris Commons points out, Rangers could have picked up around £30 million if they had opted to sell Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos while their value was at it’s most lofty.
This summer, both Kent and Morelos will leave Ibrox for free.

With three years remaining on Abada’s contract, there are currently no concerns of a similar situation unfolding at Parkhead. But, after losing his place in Ange Postecoglou’s XI – Abada has started just one league match since the end of January – would now be the right time to cash in?
When there is a veritable throng of clubs willing to stump up sizeable sums?
Premier League clubs like Celtic’s Liel Abada
“But maybe we are talking £10 million for him?” Miller tells Go Football Radio. “£8million or £10million.
“He is really unfortunate that he has not had much game time behind Jota and (Daizen) Maeda. I think he has been brilliant when he has come on. He has got something different.
“Abada is direct and a real goal threat. We have seen in the big, big games against Rangers where he has popped up with a right few goals.”
Abada, who has a penchant for appearing in precisely the right place at precisely the right time in the penalty area, still has 12 goals and seven assists this term despite his reduced minutes. Two of those goals came in a 4-0 thrashing of Rangers back in September.
Fabrizio Romano believes that a number of clubs from south of the border are keen on the former Maccabi Petah Tikva ace, who joined Celtic for around £3 million back in 2021. Eredivisie giants Ajax are reportedly in the race too.
“They have got so many threats Celtic,” Miller adds. “Maybe it is the time to move him on. To make the most of it so you don’t get into a Ryan Kent or an Alfredo Morelos situation;where you could be losing massive players for no money.
“And players you spent a good bit of money on as well.”
According to Maccabi Petah Tikva’s president, Abada ‘wants to be sold’ this summer. He has allegedly turned down a contract extension at Parkhead.
