Liverpool face Manchester City this weekend in what is likely to be one of the season’s biggest matches.
The Reds and the Cityzens have been title rivals over the past few years, and they both come into this game knowing that three points will be huge for their chances of becoming champions.
Liverpool come into this one off the back of a 5-1 win in the Champions League, while City lost their last game 2-0 against PSG.
Speaking on the Seaman Says Podcast, David Seaman has shared how Klopp reacted to learning City had lost to PSG in midweek.
What’s been said?
Seaman says he spoke to Klopp after the Porto game about the City result.
“Yeah, I saw Jurgen Klopp after the game, and he said ‘I’ve just seen the result of Man City getting beat, so they’ll want to be bouncing right back.’” Seaman said.
“Like you say though, the PSG game, I watched that game and I thought City were in control, they had most of the possession and it was just two moments of brilliance.”

Mentality monsters
Klopp knows that City won’t let this result negatively affect them and that they’re primed to bounce right back.
How many times have we seen it? A top side loses a close game only to stamp their authority in the next game. That’s how you become champions.
City will be desperate to beat Liverpool at the weekend, but luckily, Klopp seems to understand the task ahead of him.
The German has previously described his team as ‘mentality monsters’, and that’s what they’ll have to be if they’re going to win at the weekend.
