Tottenham Hotspur were very impressive during last night’s 2-0 win over Chelsea.
When writing his column for the Daily Mail, former Arsenal star Martin Keown gave his verdict on Spurs’ impressive 2-0 win over Chelsea yesterday, highlighting how they won the physical battle as a key factor in the end result.
Antonio Conte’s men have overpowered teams so far this term, but they were matched in every department last night by Tottenham, as their 13 game win streak came to an end.
And Keown explained how Spurs managed to negate the Blues’ threats last night, when writing his column for the Daily Mail:
Martin Keown
“Pochettino’s side matched their visitors from a physical standpoint and did very well to quell any potential storm, particularly at the start of the second half. They kept Chelsea at bay while on the back foot before hitting back with a second goal.”
The Lilywhites have certainly proved that they can mix it with the best so far this term, and the challenge for them now will be to keep their high intensity levels up for the remainder of the season.

They must also focus on ensuring that they dispatch of the smaller teams in the league – something that they have struggled with down the years.
Following Tottenham’s FA Cup tie with Aston Villa on Saturday, they host West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League, before another top of the table clash, as they head to Manchester City.
