Jamie O’Hara has claimed on Twitter that Tottenham midfielder, Giovani Lo Celso, spends ‘half hour’ on the ball ‘every time’ he gets it.
Lo Celso was named in the starting XI of Ryan Mason’s first game in charge of Tottenham on Wednesday, as Spurs recorded a 2-1 win over Southampton.
Spurs needed to come from behind to secure all three points and they produced that during the second half.
The winning goal, from Heung-Min Son, came from the penalty spot when Lo Celso was off the field.
But Lo Celso was involved in the build-up of Son’s previous goal which was ruled out because of an offside call.
Nonetheless, O’Hara shared these thoughts on Lo Celso yesterday:
It hasn’t worked out for Lo Celso ever since Mauricio Pochettino brought him to the club.
Of course, matters such as Poch being sacked not long after Lo Celso’s arrival and the player enduring injury problems hasn’t helped his cause.
But it will be interesting to see what Tottenham do with the player in the summer.
