Give it time, but Tottenham Hotspur are now starting to build an array of top talent at their club.

Yes, those trophy-winning managers – Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte – didn’t work out.

But the DNA of Spurs has been brought back by Ange Postecoglou and you are seeing many players thriving in his no-nonsense attacking system.

One of them includes a player brought in when Antonio Conte was in the Tottenham dugout – Dejan Kulusevski.

Leon Osman has claimed that the Sweden international, who mainly operates on the left, is someone who can ‘do it all’, as he told Premier League Productions (18/03/24 at 5:40 pm).

Someone even suggested he could be the next Kevin de Bruyne if he moved into midfield.

Dejan Kulusevski isn’t someone who has express pace, but he still understands how to handle the ball and is one of the best passers of the ball from out wide.

That’s why Leon Osman was also keen to point out that he also has ‘real footballing intelligence’.

Dejan Kulusevski is Totteham’s footballing brain

“A real student of the game and he has real footballing intelligence,” said Osman.

“Number ten? Wide? He can do it all, at the moment.”

Tottenham pushing for Champions League football

When Kulusevski first arrived at Hotspur Way in January 2022, the team were looking to finish in the top four.

At the time, they were battling north London rivals Arsenal for Champions League football.

Players like Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur added a magic stardust to the team and they ended up getting that fourth spot.

Well, Spurs are in that same situation again, but this time around, it’s a three-way battle involving Aston Villa, Spurs and Manchester United.
