Jamie O’Hara thinks Liverpool legend and current Bayern Munich star Sadio Mane was a better player than Arsenal’s invincible Dennis Bergkamp.
The former Tottenham midfielder was discussing who are the best number 10’s in Premier League history and O’Hara put Sadio Mane fourth on his all-time list.
In the summer, the Reds parted ways with the all-action forward when he decided to open a new chapter in his career – there are now suggestions that he is ‘visibly uncomfortable’ with his new life in Munich.

Just like Bergkamp, who probably had the best first touch in the game, the duo won it all on English football’s domestic stage and are icons at their respective clubs.
They were both very different players, with Mane a player that was explosive, always on the front foot and looking to attack the penalty box from the left, whilst Bergkamp was a player of touch, tease, vision and unreal technical talent.
Nonetheless, this is what O’Hara had to say about Mane, as he was asked by Gabby Agbonlahor if he was sure about his comments involving Bergkamp, as he told talkSPORT.
“My number four is Sadio Mane,” said O’Hara. “He wore the number ten shirt. He was unbelievable. He was a top-class player.”
Agbonlahor asked: “So, Sadio Mane was a better player than Dennis Bergkamp?” To which O’Hara replied: “Yes.”
He added: “As a number ten, with the shirt on his back. Sadio Mane, for what he did for Liverpool.”

BERGKAMP WAS DIFFERENT GRAVY
There’s no doubt that Mane was a player of high quality and a player that Jurgen Klopp could do with right now.
But Bergkamp, during his days under Arsene Wenger in the Premier League, was someone who was just out of his world and one of the best of his era.
Perhaps if Mane, just like Mohamed Salah is doing right now, stayed on for a few more years in England’s top-flight, then perhaps he could have enhanced his legacy even further and been in that Dennis Bergkamp conversation.
