There’s a reason Barcelona are so keen to pay top dollar for Hector Bellerin, and Don Hutchison beleives no one comes close to the Spaniard.

Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin is currently the finest right-back in the Premier League, according to pundit Don Hutchison on Twitter.

The former Barcelona youngster has nailed down the right hand side of The Gunners defence in the last two seasons, holding off competition from French international Mathieu Debuchy and Calum Chambers to become an essential component of Arsene Wenger’s defensive, and attacking, strategy.

Bellerin has started all eleven of Arsenal’s Premier League games this season, providing a constant threat on the flanks with his natural speed and perfectly timed overlaps beyond the drifting Theo Walcott, who the 21-year-old set up brilliantly for the teams second goal in their superb 3-0 win against Chelsea earlier in the season.

Consequently, Hutchison believes no one else in the top flight currently comes close to the jet-heeled Spaniard.

However, the stats don’t necessarily work in Bellerin’s favour.

Clyne (below) has created comfortably more goalscoring chances (15) in the Premier League this season than Bellerin (8), with Manchester United’s reborn Antonio Valencia and Tottenham flyer Kyle Walker also averaging higher totals.

The aforementioned trio have also provided more key passes than Bellerin’s seven, though the Spaniard’s effortless composure in possession and superb dexterity on the ball means he is unequalled in Europe’s most competitive league, regardless of the statistics.
