Arsenal failed to win against Manchester United in the Premier League at the weekend.
Former Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur defender Jason Cundy has stated on social networking site Twitter that Arsenal star Mesut Ozil is not a world-class player.
Cundy, who now works as a pundit for talkSPORT, made the claim following Arsenal’s Premier League match against Manchester United away from home at Old Trafford at the weekend.
Ozil started the game and played for the entire 90 minutes, as it ended in a 1-1 draw.
Former Chelsea and Tottenham defender Cundy was not impressed with the performance of the Germany international attacking midfielder.
The 47-year-old has also stated that he would have Manchester United attacking midfielder Juan Mata over Ozil any day.
Ozil is one of the most creative midfielders in the Premier League and is a key figure in the current Arsenal team.
The 28-year-old attacking midfielder has scored three goals and created 27 chances in 11 league appearances for the Gunners so far this season.
Spain international attacking midfielder Juan Mata has scored three goals and created 17 chances in 10 Premier League matches for United so far this campaign.
