Speaking to Off The Ball, John Giles has been speaking about Liverpool’s attacking options and Luis Diaz.
The Reds have an embarrassment of riches up front. They can call upon five bona fide superstars, while behind them they also have the likes of Divock Origi and Takumi Minamino should they be needed.
The Merseyside outfit have unbelievable depth in that area, and according to Giles, no other team in world football can rival them on that front.
What’s been said?
Giles spoke about Liverpool’s attacking options.
“He’s a top player, he’s coming into a good team which is always a help, but he has the ability to do it and the confidence to do it. Look at Liverpool, you have Salah, Mane, Diaz, Jota, Firmino and Origi when they need him. There is no other team, look at Man City for example, they don’t have any of those forwards, so they’re deadly,” Giles said.

Unrivalled
Giles is right, no other team in world football has the depth that Liverpool have up front right now, and to be honest, it’s hard to remember any other team in history having this sort of depth.
Even the great Barcelona teams of the early 2010s only ever had four truly quality attackers at one time as the likes of Samuel Eto’o, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Thierry Henry and Alexis Sanchez all came and went, but Liverpool have five forwards who are all arguably world-class right now.
This Liverpool team will go down as one of the greatest sides in football history, and this attacking quintet may well be the best we’ve ever seen.
